Integrated Panic Disorder Treatment at NuTherapy

At NuTherapy, we assist individuals in selecting coping mechanisms tailored to their needs, such as meditation, exercise, and creative activities. We guide clients in practicing these strategies, ensuring they can continue using them post-treatment. Participation in group therapy sessions or support groups fosters connections among individuals facing panic disorder. Our panic disorder treatment encompasses various therapeutic approaches:

  • Individual Psychotherapy
One-on-one psychotherapy, a classic talk treatment, helps individuals explore emotions and experiences underlying negative feelings and behaviors. It is an essential component of panic disorder treatment.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Highly effective and commonly used, CBT treats panic disorder by helping patients retrain thinking patterns and change actions, overcoming the fear of social situations. Residential treatment includes group and family therapy.
  • Relational Therapy
Panic disorder can strain interpersonal relationships. Relational therapy helps individuals understand the interconnectedness of relationships, life experiences, and emotions, fostering the development of healthier connections.
  • Family Therapy and Education
Involving family in therapy educates them about panic disorder and how best to provide support.
  • Trauma-Focused Therapies
If trauma underlies or contributes to panic disorder, specific therapies focus on processing and reframing these traumas to improve symptoms.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT emphasizes accepting unhelpful negative thoughts without replacing them with positive ones. The goal is to teach individuals with panic disorder better coping mechanisms for negative thoughts and feelings.
  • Relaxation and Mindfulness Techniques
Alternative and holistic therapies, including meditation, yoga, and exercise, are employed to treat social anxiety, enhancing overall well-being.
